Quizzes

The Quizzes tool enables instructors to build, manage, assign, and grade online tests. It collects statistical data for test events like start and end times, and provides details on student and course-wide achievement. Instructors can add written, visual, and audio feedback for all submissions. Grades and feedback can be set for automatic release (for question types like Multiple Choice and True or False), scheduled release, or manual release when grading is required.

Manage Quizzes Tab

On the Manage Quizzes Tab site Administrators can view a list of Quizzes built on the site, they are organized by default by availability dates. Use the “View” options to change the view to Category views, select the Apply button to enact the changes.

Select the “Edit Categories” button to open the Category maintenance page.

Please note that a Quizzes Category is functionally different from a Gradebook Category. A Gradebook Category can impact the weight of assessments towards final course marks. A Quizzes Category helps site administrators organize the Quizzes on the Quizzes page into meaningful lists. Quiz categories simply help with viewing and navigation.

Features include: Reorder the list of Quizzes, Make assessment(s) Visible to Users, Hide the assessment(s) from Users and Delete the assessment and Restore previously deleted Assessments Test Scripts * this does not include restoring deleted Assessment submissions.

The Bulk Edit feature allows for quick and easy editing of multiple assessments, and can be found at the top of the Manage Quizzes page, under New Quiz button.

This feature allows instructors to update multiple assessments' names, categories, start dates, end dates, and due dates at the same time! Simply select the Quizzes you wish to edit from your list then select the Bulk Edit button to modify their parameters, and category settings.


Question Library Tab

  1. New - Choose from a list of options, this includes, creating new sections, T/F Questions, MC etc.

  2. Import - Choose between Importing Questions from your device, or browse your course site

  3. Move - Move Selected Questions to sections

  4. Delete - Delete Selected Questions

  5. Order - Reorder the list of Questions on this page

  6. Edit Values - Change the value of one or more questions

  7. Settings - Alter the Questions Library Page

  8. Done Editing Questions- Select this button to finish making edits and return to the Manage Quizzes Tab
