Quizzes and test taking

How do I take a quiz?  

1. Go to the Quizzes tool in the navigation bar.

2. Select the quiz you wish to take. Any date and timing restrictions will be listed.

3. Review the instructions and quiz details on the Summary page.

4. Select Start Quiz to begin.

How do I view quiz feedback?  

1. Go to Quizzes in the navigation bar.

2. Find the quiz in question and select the On Attempt option under Evaluation Status.

3. Select the attempt for which you wish to see feedback. Multiple attempts will be listed if applicable..

Can I retake a quiz? 

You can only retake a quiz if your instructor allows multiple attempts. This will be listed along with any time limits and instructions on the Summary page that you see before beginning the quiz attempt.

You will not be able to retake the quiz if only one attempt is allowed.

Contact your TA or instructor if the quiz has closed unexpectedly or technical problems denied you access.

Can I resume a quiz in progress?

You are able to regain entry into a quiz if the availability window is still open and there was time remaining on your attempt time limit. This means that you can resume an attempt if you lost connection.

1. Go to Quizzes in the navigation bar.

2. Find the quiz in question and determine if your attempt is still in-progress. This will be shown with a red asterisk.

3. Click the name of the quiz to get back to the Summary and instructions page. There will be a button to Continue Quiz… if this is possible.

How do I find and take a YuJa video quiz?

YuJa is Brock’s video sharing platform and is used used by instructors to create, store, and share videos. YuJa videos can feature interactive quizzes for students to take as they watch.

YuJa quizzes will likely appear in a course site’s Content area. They have a few identifiers that make them distinct from other videos, namely a text overlay that explains how the quiz will appear during the video.

Questions are listed below the video with timestamps and playback will pause at each question. You can click each marker to jump directly to that question.

Be sure to Save your answer for each question.

Select the Submit button in the bottom-right of the video to submit your answers at the end of a video.
