Insert Stuff

Insert Stuff is a tool that resides in the text-editor next to the Quicklink tool. It looks like the play-pause-record-stop icons stacked in a square. When clicked, a multitude of options appear for insertion. They are listed and explained below.

Pearson Link - Insert Stuff

Allows instructors to link to Pearson learning materials such as textbooks, quiz banks, assessments, and more.

YuJa Video Chooser

Embed a video from your YuJa video Library (which contains Echo360 videos) into the content area. Learn more about Embed YuJa videos in Brightspace.

Course Offering Files

Select and choose a file that has already been uploaded into the Course Files. Files are normally uploaded to Course Files by default when first inserted, so it may be beneficial to find repeat files and documents here.

Add Video Note

Record and insert a 30-minute maximum video note for students to play. The recording and uploading are done directly from within Insert Stuff.

Video Note Search

Search through previously recorded Video Notes to re-insert one.

Media Library

Search and insert audio and video files within the Brightspace Media Library. Files can be uploaded to the Media Library by clicking the gear/cog icon next to your profile in the top-right of Brightspace and clicking Media Library.

YouTube

Embed a YouTube video into the content area. To learn more about embedding a YouTube video, see Embedding Files

Flickr

Insert a Flickr photo into the content area.

Insert Link

Insert a URL from the internet. This can be done either from here or by cutting and pasting it into the text-editor.

Enter Embed Code

Copy an Embed Code from an outside third party learning object, so it can be displayed in the content area (i.e YouTube, H5P object, etc.)
