Grades

The Grades tool is where you can see scores for all of your assessments within a course. See below for frequently asked questions about grades in Brightspace.

How do I view my grades? 

Go to the assignment, quiz, or discussion thread to view your score for that assessment.

Go to Grades in the NavBar.

Some grades may not be posted here. Some scores or grades may be posted through my.brocku.ca. Refer to your syllabus or instructor on where to find your grades.

Where can I see feedback for my assignments and quizzes?

Alternatively click on the highlighted text in the Comments and Assessments column of grades to view assessments.

Why can’t I see my grades?  

• Your instructor may have that grade item hidden.

• The grade for that assessment may have not been published/released yet.

• Release conditions for that grade item may not have been met.

If you believe there is an issue and you should be able to see certain grades, please contact your TA or instructor.

Why do some of my grades say 'dropped'? 

If your instructor has decided to remove an item from your calculated course grade this label will appear. Alternatively, for assessments with multiple submissions or components your instructor may be taking the highest attempt or dropping the lowest score. Refer to the course syllabus or your TA/Instructor for information on how your assessments are scored and how your course grade is calculated.
