How can students complete the surveys?

Brock students can complete the Student Course Experience Survey via several avenues which are part of day-to-day learning at Brock. Many of these options are automatically made available to participating courses with no action needed by course instructors.

Via email notification

Students who have an active online Student Course Experience Survey will be notified by Brock email. Those who do not complete the surveys within several days will be reminded up to two times by email.

Students can click the Start the Survey button included in any of these emails to begin responding to available surveys.


In Brightspace

Students who have an active Student Course Experience Survey will be prompted to complete it when accessing Brightspace. Students can click the course title to begin the survey for the course.

No action is required from course instructors for this pop-up to appear.

If this notification is ignored, students can access the SCES system directly through the Course Surveys navbar link on the Brightspace homepage (but not an individual course site’s page).

Directly in the Student Course Experience Survey system (Blue)

Students can visit the online Student Course Experience Survey system directly at https://my-brocku.bluera.com/ to complete any available surveys.


Through shared links or QR codes

 

Instructor can generate short links and QR codes through the Blue interface.

Find an individual survey to make adjustments. Click Manage Settings [1] or the ellipsis icon [2] to find the editing options.

The survey editing window provides options for sharing via QR code or short URL [2].

Of course, students must be able to access the survey per the scheduled Start and Date dates.

It is also possible to manually release surveys and then immediately share the link options [1].

The ellipsis icon will still provided these options if a survey is already in progress.

 

 

Looking for labels? They can now be found in the details panel on the floating action bar.
