What does the Pulse app do?

The Pulse is app can be used top help stay up to date on course site activity, including calendar and due dates, upcoming activities, etc. You can also review course content (even offline) and view grades and feedback for assessment.

It is not recommended to complete or submit Assignments or Quizzes through the Pulse app.


How do I get the mobile app?  

Brightspace Pulse is available from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store on all compatible devices.

How do I get notifications for course updates sent to my phone?  

Notifications must be configured through the Pulse app. Additionally, the app must have permission to deliver notifications. See D2L’s article on viewing and configuring push notifications in Brightspace Pulse.


Can I subscribe to my Brightspace calendar? 

Yes. To do so online, go to your homepage and select the drop-down menu for the Calendar widget, then select Subscribe. Copy and paste the subscription link into the calendar app/manager of your choice.

You are not able to subscribe to calendars from the app. However, you can receive notifications for events and dates from the Pulse app.
