There may be circumstances where instructors or administrators require users to send proof of having received an award. This can be to verify proof of completing a training, reaching a particular milestone in a course, etc.

Instructions for Sharing an Award

  1. Navigate to the Awards area via Course Tools > Awards on a course navbar.

  2. Select the My Awards tab, this will open a list of all the awards the user has received.

  3. Select the Share link underneath the award to be shared.

  4. Select the Create Link button, this will generate a link that will take anyone who uses it to a page displaying the award.

  5. Select Copy Link.

  6. Paste the link and send to whomever needs to receive it.

Sharing a Certificate PDF

By default, generating links to awards will not give the recipient a PDF copy of a certificate. Certificate PDFs must be downloaded by the award recipient and sent as a file to the instructor/administrator.

  1. Navigate to the Awards area via Course Tools > Awards on a course navbar.

  2. Select the My Awards tab, this will open a list of all the awards the user has received.

  3. Select the award name or icon to open a mini window with award information.

  4. Select Generate Certificate to download an PDF of the award.

  5. Send the PDF to whomever needs to receive it.

Certificate view. Contains name of recipient, award name, Brightspace, date of award reception, course name and duration information.
