Syncing Quizzes with the Brightspace Gradebook
Upon creating quizzes for their videos, instructors may find that they wish to sync quiz grades from YuJa with their Brightspace gradebook. CPI has outlined steps below on this process:
Inserting the Quiz into the Content area
Navigate to the course Content area, and select Add Existing button in the top-right.
(Please note: the Add Existing button only appears if at least one unit has been created, learn more from CPI documentation on Designing and Organizing Materials in Content)Select More, then scroll to the bottom of the menu to find and select Yuja Media Chooser - Deep Link for Quizzes.
Select the desired quiz from the Quizzes tab. Select Insert Content in the bottom-right of the menu window to continue. The activity has now been added to the Content area.
Syncing the Quiz
Once the quiz is inserted into the Content area, it can be linked to the gradebook for the course.
Select the quiz learning object, then select the three-dots in the top-right of the Content area. Select Edit from the drop-down menu.
In the editor window, select Add and Manage Grade Items, under the Name field.
In the menu that opens, select + Grade Item. Select the number of points the quiz will be graded out of. It is recommended that the points value remains the same that the quiz is being graded out of.
Select OK, then Save and Close to finish.
The quiz is now manually synced from the YuJa Quiz to the Brightspace gradebook.
Manually Syncing YuJa Quiz grades with the Gradebook
By default, grades should automatically sync between YuJa and the Brightspace gradebook, but some instructors may prefer to make sure they have the most up-to-date grades by forcing a manual sync. This can be done from the instructor’s YuJa account.
