Microsoft Forms , is a tool available through the Microsoft 365 suite of applications, that offers a simple interface for users to create creating basic surveys /and evaluations. Instructors It is available to all Brock instructors and students can access Microsoft Forms through through the Microsoft 365 suite of applications via myoffice.brocku.ca.

Microsoft offers their own detailed text and video documentation guides to help users create Forms. Check out Microsoft’s create a new form article to learn moreget started using Forms. They also provide templates and examples. This article seeks to expand upon those and assist with idea and use-case generation.

Use-Cases

Microsoft Forms can be used to facilitate a range of discussions/teaching. Some examples discussion and information gathering. Examples include:

  • Peer evaluation which can be anonymous and decentralized (or the opposite).

  • Voting or and polling questions for feedback or decision-making.

  • Fostering engagement by adding interactivity during a lecture (you might want to explore the including Forms integration with PowerPoint).

  • StartAutomated start, stop, and continue check-ins with your students

  • Surveys with branching questions /or skip-logic.

  • And much more
