An instructor can choose to opt out of the Student Course Experience Survey system for individual courses.

Note

Some departments independently manage surveys and feedback. If choosing to opt out, an instructor should immediately inform their academic unit as policy or procedure implications may arise. Departments may also provide instruction on alternative means of surveying students.

Select View and manage questionnaire settings

Select the View and manage questionnaire settings option associated with the course section where the Student Course Experience Survey system will be disabled.

Find the course survey to be adjusted

If a course includes multiple sections, take this step for each section where opting out is required.

Find the Question Personalization option associated with the course survey to be disabled and click on the three dot button on the far-right.

Click Manage Settings

Each survey provides a quick overview of its configuration. This also includes a Manage Settings button.

Opt out (choose not to opt in)

In the Opt in to this evaluation? area, toggle the selection to No.

The opt in toggle can be switched to No to opt out

Click the Update button to commit to any changes.
