The Question Library is an online repository that stores and archives questions which can be reused within a Brightspace site. Create multiple collections within the Question Library to organize questions by type and topic, making it easier to locate questions for quizzes, surveys, and self-assessments. It is recommended to create and manage all questions in the Question Library as this allows for a smoother experience creating assessments (quizzes, assignments, surveys).

Accessing the Question Library
On the navbar, click Quizzes, Surveys, or Self Assessments.
From the tool navigation just below the navbar, click the Question Library tab.
Featured Buttons:
New - Select this option to create Sections (which act as folders) and/or questions.
Import -Select this option to import questions from a file or existing assessments on your Brightspace site.
Done Editing Questions - Save and exit the Question Library.
Creating a Question Library Section
Sections in the Question Library act as folders, where questions can be sorted and organized to create a more streamlined and efficient experience when pulling questions from the Question Library into an assessment.
Go to Quizzes.
Select the Question Library tab.
Select New and choose Section from the drop-down menu.
Name this section and choose the desired settings. Choose Hide Section Title/Text from learners if you don’t want this information to appear in the student view of a quiz.

There can be multiple layers of sections. For example, Question Library > Unit 1 (section) > Quiz Questions (sub-section) > Quiz 1 (sub-section). |
Managing a Question Library & Section
Move - select the questions or sections to be moved and click Move, then select the new destination.
Delete - to delete questions or sections
Order - to re-order the questions and sections
Edit Values - select the questions to edit and click Edit Values. This allows for quick bulk editing of question point values and difficulty scores.
Use the drop down arrow beside questions to edit additional properties and details for that question. To exit click Done Editing Questions in the top right corner.
