Instructors are able to start new threads, reply to existing threads, and post to specific groups, no matter the limitations selected when creating the Forum or Topic. Users can participate in discussions by posting a new thread to a Discussion topic or by replying to a thread that has already been posted. Be aware of any restrictions chosen when creating the Topic to ensure that the desired audience is able to see your (the instructor’s) post regardless if it is a reply to a thread, or addressed for the entire class to see.
