Course Experience Surveys

Evaluation tool for students to have the opportunity to reflect and review a course upon completing it.

Available via Course Surveys on the navbar of the Brightspace homepage.

Course Readings - ARES

Direct integration with Ares (Brock course readings tool). Contact records@brocku.ca to learn more about setting up a course readings list and integrating it into your course site.

YuJa

Brock’s video platform tool. Allows instructors to create, upload, and share various media (learn more from YuJa)

Can be found via the Insert Stuff button in any text-editor, or from Course Tools on a course navbar.

Elsevier Evolve

Allows instructors to link to Evolve learning materials such as textbooks, quiz banks, assessments, and more.

Etherpads

Similar to Google docs, a collaborative, textual workspace.

Hypothesis

Peer-assessment tool that gamifies peer-evaluation.

Labster

Tool used to assist with asynchronous language-learning. Only available to Italian courses.

Mobius

A mathematical tool used to create and employ complicated arithmetic and scientific questions/equations. Only available to Math and Physics departments.

A direct link to the Campus Store where students can see all course materials they need to acquire for the term.

Available via My Course Materials on the navbar of the Brightspace homepage.

Pearson

Allows instructors to link to Pearson learning materials such as textbooks, quiz banks, assessments, and more.

TopHat

Direct integration with Top Hat, an engagement tool that fosters real-time participation via quizzes, surveys, attendance, and more.
